Stillwater blue

Hi all,

I dont do much float fishing, but when I have when fishing for eels some of the bites are pretty sensative and I usually miss them they could be line bites,

can any of you recommend a float pattern that will allow me to fish a bait on the bottom that is sensative to some of the shy bites I am missing please remember I will be fishing at night,

I have tried the lift method and float ledgering but I`m not happy with either,
