What baits?

I have been using boilies and maggots to try and catch my second ever carp. I have been fishing for 5 days running and I cant catch anything. I am in the Bermondsey area and im wondering if you have any tips on where to fish in that area and what baits to use?

give us an idea of how you're fishing.

 

For instance, are you float fishing or legering?

 

What hooks/line/rigs etc. are you trying?

 

What stamp of fish is in the water you're fishing? (You might have picked a hard water, rather than an easy one - which is where you should be, if you're just starting up).

 

Finally - are you fishing alone, or with someone with some experience? Because fishing with someone who knows what's what is the best way to learn...
