Stoney and others,

this sounds like a good way to spend a weekend! if I sign up now do I get a duff swim on some puddle in the car-park?

Seriously though I'm up for meeting a few of you lot so I'll come along if there are still spaces? I'll also bring my camera to get some shots for the Mail to get us some more publicity.

Wat else do I need to know?

Fred Guttfield.

Fair play to you, Fred.

I'm taking my camera with me for the same reason. You're welcome to have any useful photographs for the Mail as well, on the proviso that you don't object to me posting them in the gallery on AN as well.

I think after your season so far you're due a high profile blanking session, though!! wink.gif

Let me know.

Sandhurst - Bivvies or Tents?

Can anyone tell me how much bank space there is on the Sandhurst lake. Is there enough room to pitch a small tent and is it reasonably level ?

We don't want to come all the way south with the wrong gear smile.gif

Thanks, Dave

Steve Tame of AceBaits has said he'll give me a load of freebies to add to raffle prizes etc. I've already organised some bait for 2 of those fishing over the weekend, so this offer is a very welcome and typical gesture froma truly top bloke and a damned fine angler to boot.

He read the 'Thread of the Month' posts, and agrees with me that he'd like the prize to go to something that embodies the true spirit of angling.

So it's Elton for this one or Dave Kennedy for National Angling week.

Webbo, a small tent should be ok, dark green i hope ? cos if its bright orange, you will have to take the flak from the others !!!!! Nice landmark though. I must admit, to really looking forward to meeting the rest of you guys from AN.

Ps: i will be there on the thursday afternoon, if anyone wants to join me, just let me know or just look for the Securicor Van.

Eek,

Just received a reply to the same question regarding tents from Ian Walsh at RMC, apparently their rules do not allow tents, only bivies..

Anyone got a couple of spares smile.gifsmile.gif ?

Ok and the diffrence between a tent and a bivvy is?????????

it's green???? (don't tell the scouts)

it's got an easy egress flap.....er so does a tent

it's not a tent becasue tents don't say "nash" on the side........., sounds like a rule to keep others in business.
