hi all,

just got back from a long hard week in chippenham building a pond and patio for my uncle, we did manage one afternoons fishing, at a very old church pond, ashley broke his record again this time by 6lb, he had a lovely common carp 10.5 lb, picture soon.

just incase anyone missed it elton has put up an interview i did with howard web creator of sillybait http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/authors/elton33.htm

and also a review of the dam hi litanium 12.5 m pole http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/reviews/dam01.htm

Hmm, the oil content in the S****bait stuff is way above what fish should be given and can be a killer, are you aware of this. It is a known fact that carp waters and carp anglers stopped using oil saturated baits because of their dangers and the fish that where lost because of the oil contents.

They played on while the reel handles spun in unison.

chris, you can argue with yourself mate, i cant be botherd to get into yet another dispute with you.

but i will say do you think one of the biggest bait companys in the world would get involved with SB without doing some research into the products they promote?

i agree with you chris,the oil content in this particular bait is a lot higher than others.but lets not get into a heated debate on this,i think there are so many baits out there which are also harmful but people use them regardless,you can go to some waters which ban ground bait,pellets (trout)and have many other rules which are broken constantly just so these people can catch,i say if you can't stick to the rules stay at home.if you can't catch using your own skill and judgement (and not cheating cos thats all it is)then may i suggest passing on your equipment to someone who is a law abiding angler.

let common sense prevail,

tony.

p.s.i'd better have a lay down.

shim, who is cheating?

for instance, ashleys fish was caught using corn and meat, no ground bait or aditives at all, im getting really fed up with this holier than though attitude(not directed at you shim) how many perfect saint anglers are there ????

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Nice interview Gray. Good info.

I may have to buy some of this stuff to give it a go.

Since my usual water is a few thousand acres and I will be the only one using Silly stuff, I doubt that the oil content could be an issue - unless I used many tons of the pellet. Many, many tons. smile.gif
