Epoxy resin coating

Anyone know the best way to remove some epoxy resin coating which is used over the whipping on a rod.I've some above a reel seat I wish to remove..Cheers

Scrape it with the blunt side of a stanley knife blade. Some folk heat it up to remove it!

As Pete says use a stanley blade.Might sound obvious but what ever you do dont use any type of chemical stripper!!

A good epoxy should be impervious to any chemicals anyway. Not sure what it would do to the blank.

 

Don't use any form of intense heat near a carbon blank.

 

Stick with the Stanley blade,personally I'd use the sharp side but if there is any likelihood of you being at all clumsy then use the back.
