Hiya, Iancslass. On behalf of Little Feathers and myself, a warm welcome to this wonderful Madhouse.

I agree with you about tackle shops. No female assistants in my local one, but the lads are really helpful ( and patient ).

Feathers and I haven't encountered any problems or prejudice, quite the opposite!

 

Watch out for that Jim Roper, though....he's a closet wild child!

well ladies, i know of one female assistant in downham way, bromley.

Very knowledgable she is to, helped me out many a time, with advise on all sorts of things.

40 years ago the assistant was a bloke (no i`m not saying your assistant had a sex change) there used to be loads of tackle shops in the bromley area my favourite was ivans (i think) just at the end of the road that connects to the bridge over the railway at masons hill ,probably gone years ago

the Creel in aldershot has a choice of both
