over 50, 2 ex's, numerous kids dotted around, all grown up. Mum and Dad deceased but both ex service and fishing (sea) nuts.

Sister used to fish for the England ladies A fly fishing team.

Left full time school at 13 1/2 and went on a sail training ship for 2 years, did 3 hours as a butchers apprentice, he could not understand that I would not polish the brass outside until the frost and ice had melted. Joined the RN as a seaman, got 99.5% in the final exam on seamanship, when I asked what I got wrong, I was told nothing wrong, just that no one ever had 100%. As I had natural dancing rythem I was sent to the communications school to train as a Radio operator. That realy made sense to me, I think!! Spent most of my time from 18 in the operations and exercise pool, sort of people that were available at x hours notice to go and help out with big exercises etc.

Played Rugby for the services, even on tv once against the Fijians, we lost 98 to 3 I think. One nasty day in Aden put paid to my rugby but still love watching Rugby Internationals on TV and abhore football (sorry guys). I am lucky in my partner as she realy gets involved in the Rugby and is no slouch when it comes to catching carp, surface or bottom fishing. After 11 years I still can't get her to come sea fishing on the boat with me. Maybe this summer.

Had my own charter boat with certificate's etc until my ex ran off with a years deposits, sold the boat to pay the people back there deposits and came to Holland skint. Started my own little cleaning company, firstly cleaning computers then offices and a school. The office cleaning is the bread and butter and the computers a bonus. As a natural Progression on the comp cleaning I should hear in the next day or two that I will be the agent for AF computer cleaning materials in South Holland. I got fed up paying lots of money to there agents for my cleaning materials. I just love setting things up, such as my company, but then lose interest when things are running and look for the next challenge.

I never touched a computer until the same time as I joined Anglers Net. The same as some other posters on here I owe a hell of a lot to AN not just for the fishing help that I have had but also for the computer training that I have been given on here and most of all the friends that I have made (and lost). RIP.

Best fish, 1 carp at 31lb big conger pollock ling turbot etc but NEVER a Bass. Mainly Cod fishing in the winter and the rest of the time Carp, going soft I know. I love fishing with my few friends (3) no matter what is caught (or not).

Thats more than enough from me but it would be nice to hear from some of you guys and gals that don't post too often.

Sorry to go on.
