Kayak Demo Day

I know the line fine you moron! I was just tailoring it towards you!!

And yes I do mean you, it seems to me you have gained a whole heap out of JO and indeed out of this, what was once fine board, and ruined it with your endless posts of course fishing catches and photos. If you want to get personal and call me a name like above then PM me your address and we can sort it out between us!

Plain enough for ya?

Perfectly plain, thanks for the clarification. Saves you claiming

Yes, I have done well out my endless posts and photographs. Tell me, why does that upset you so much?

Funnily enough, what I have gained from JO on the kayak fishing side has not been through my asking. The job comes through being the most suited applicant for a job advertised nationally for months, and yes I did apply for it and hoped fervently to get it. And I love it and want to progress with it. I don't actually deal with the kayak side either as it happens.

As to ruining the board with my posts I like how whenever you (or others) have harped on against them they've been shouted down by far more people. You already know that I started posting reports here again as a favour to Elton who asked me to. Do you know what actually made this board flounder David? It was migration to others that were more specifically targeted to kayak fishing rather than being a subsection of a general fishing one. It happened around the time of a tournament and picked up from there. As the number of forums increased so too did regional ones, and other more 'exclusive' ones. The internet changes rapidly and in another two years it will be different yet again. You can't blame me for this board's relative inactivity David.

You want my address, have it - 35 Grosvenor Road, Lowestoft. Bring some bait with and after we've shouted at each other we can at least go fishing which is mostly what I do in my free time.

Wetter than an otter's pocket.

what I have gained from JO on the kayak fishing side

when my side handle broke Andrew sent me a new set :P

Lat/Long :- N50°58.366 W001°26.468

I must go down to the sea again

To the lonely sea and sky

I left my shoes and socks there

I wonder if they're dry?

David, thanks for the concern but my address (and old address) is posted all over the internet, as are phone numbers and email addresses. I'm not exactly low-profile ;)

Besides, everyone in the know avoids coming down my road, unless they're wearing stab vests and conducting a raid (last time just as we were departing on the school run. 5 months surveillance really paid off: target was out.)

Thanks fellas - brightened up my day  for my two pennys worth

Its a shame that the forums are becoming saturated with OK products , but thats down to the poor marketing of the other manufacturers!! For example I( and some other local yakers) were asked by another manufacturer to take out their yaks for a fishing photoshoot in April ( a poor month around these parts) we declined saying June/July would be better , no contact since . We've seen another major player enter a team in the british comp and they were using other companies kayaks :D:D . If anyone from any company ( except Bic and emotion (they sink in Wales ;) ) is reading this drop me a kayak for testing :P

Whilst not (naturally) agreeing that it's a shame that the boards are saturated with OK products I would only venture that it's probably a reflection on (& here comes the plug!) worldwide sales as well as in the UK. OK have been producing specialist fishing kayaks for a decade now & it's possible to buy ten different models (that's hull shapes not variations) so it's statistically more likely that a greater degree of posts will be related to our products.

A marketing genius I'm not...we try to let the products do the talking :-)

Regards

Andrew

A fascinating topic I must say and Ive learnt something new :

Mark Crame works for Johnstons outdoors &

There are other kayaks to fish from except ocean.

Id love to hear about the other makers of angling kayaks as Ive only ever heard of Ocean and that's why they are the only ones reviewed on our site .

So what are these other makes of fishing kayak ?

Hi Glenn, yeah, I started working for Johnson Outdoors 3 months ago. My employment is no secret; I posted an announcement on the Anglers Afloat site and have mentioned it on a few other forums I frequent (as Snapper usually) including here:

http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/Humminb...der-t81232.html

Where my posts relate to my work I now sign them with with my 'role' as I think it's fairer that way. I'm also resisting reccomendations of our products too. Previous reviews etc still stand but obviously it would be unacceptable for me to review Johnson Outdoors products on these fora now.

The other makes, well, theres Kaskazi - Simon Everett / Dorado is the man for them - Malibu, Hobie, Perception, RTM, Wilderness Systems, Emotion, Native, heritage, Liquid Logic, Cobra, Bic...
