Yesterday a friend of mine went fishing in the storm...Crazy tbh.

But then again when we were kids we both went fishing with temps at -6 celcius in a blizzard and caught a net full.

 

He went fishing on a stretch of the River Trent at Rolleston in Nottinghamshire.

 

He used legered Halibut Pellets with a hair rig.

 

Within 20 minutes he had landed 2 Carp over 16lbs in weight and by the end of his session he had added 9 Barbel to that score, biggest he estimates at close to 10lb.

 

The part of the river he goes to has a 20 foot wall behind you and so if you got down and the wind was from behind he'd never feel it.

 

 

He also said the Bailiff never showed and got a free days fishing....lol
