Few hours later, they've dropped the price to £14.99, including UK delivery. It's a "24-hour sale".

 

One of my Peacock ones, after years of use, has started to drop in performance. You can buy the top bit, which is the bit that causes this, for a tenner, but I thought this would be one way to see if there was any difference between the brands.

 

I love my hand warmers, so am looking forward to getting this one. Feels odd now, only having one on the go

The reason they are on sale is they are obsolete. The throw-aways are down to less than a buck apiece.

I have used both and would take the fluid ones over the throwaway ones every time. The disposable ones are okay, I suppose, if you cannot get access to lighter fluid, but they do not burn as warm or for as long. I gave mine to the misses.

Got 2 peacock ones that are used all the time in the winter ,In fact whilst walking to a spot with Rusty last week i forgot i had it in my trouser pocket under my neoprene waders...that was a bit warm i can tell you .

It will be interesting to see if there is any difference between the 2 makes Elton? ,Disposables don`t come close to the petrol ones imo .
