What brings you back to Anglersnet?

It's patently obvious to anyone who runs a small site of their own, how much work Elton has put into this one.

But it occured to me recently that - on my site - most of the visitors probably go straight to the forum, and rarely go elsewhere - Hell, I do it myself! (but then, I KNOW what's on the rest of my site!)

I also realised that generally, I do that with AN too - the forum and the reviews page are the only bits I look at regularly.

It might be useful to Elton (assuming he doesn't have a visit counter on every page) to know exactly what gets people coming back - that way he might be able to target adverts and affiliate links more effectively - and maybe even stop putting too much effort into less popular parts of the site.

Over to you, folks...

Keith,

I get a very commprehensive log report that tells me everything, if I want it to.

To give you an idea of how comprehensive it is, I reset it on 25th May and it is already nearly 310 megabytes in size eek.gif

All the best,

Elton

I keep returning for the advice and friendship to be found in the fora. The quality of both would be hard to better.

This is without doubt the best of the Angling sites.

BUT I always scan (in no particular order):

The articles (If I take an interest in something, I tend to devour information)

Reviews

Rigs

Press Releases

Fisheries

Fishing Reports

Calendar

Tip of the day.

So much more satisfying than talking to my wife!

Spot on Alan thats why I keep retuning as well.

I dont tend to view anything else in particular but I do use this site a lot as a source of information and reference on species I want to target but dont know much about, not so much a website as an excylopedia for me well done Elton.

Could it be Lyn's curiosity?

Or could it be Watermans common sense?

Perhaps Bruno Broughtons sense of humour?

Or Daisy's comical genius?

Steve Popes searching questions?

Alan Pearces responses?

Graham E's caring attitude and flair for organising fish-ins?

Hornets stinging posts?

Any of these and far, far more names could be reason enough why I keep coming back but pride of place for me goes to Peter Waller.

Peter has that rare gift. He has the power to start us all talking about issues that most of us never thought of before, leaves us to it then climbs a tree and throws coconuts down. Mostly at me!
