Lets be positive and welcome this new body. As ever, only time will tell.

No sign of the Countryside Alliance :D:rolleyes::D !! Perhaps Jardine will post a press release, in a month or two, claiming full credit for setting it all up!

"The registered office of Fisheries and Angling Conservation Trust Ltd is Federation House, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire CV8 2RF."

Here it is...

Hmm...

"What did you expect to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically...?"

Basil Fawlty to the old bat, guest from hell, Mrs Richards.

Ah, the overstocked hole in the ground...

Apologies. My mistake.

Those I know on the board should make good use of the "new voice" of angling. I look forward to seeing this voice put to good use.

So, the disparate branches of angling are to speak with one voice, eh?

That'll be the day! It's difficult enough to get the average club AGM to "speak with one voice", let alone representatives from varied branches of the sport.

Perhaps I'm just cynical and disillusioned, but I can't help fearing that FACT will become another addition to the already top-heavy acronym mountain. Time will tell.

Jim, you are a little devil demon demon demon !!!

This will work, be positive. Being a realist is not an option .

By the way, you can always vote on yet another AN poll!

Of course it WILL succeed, it has too! Hasn't it?

Jim - I can understand your cynical reaction. Having spent the last 30 years in angling politics I could take the same view but, given a chance, with PMA (Positive Mental Attitude), we can make FACT work.

It will significantly reduce the "top heavy acronym mountain", that appears to worry you so much. Latch on to "One Voice". Give it a chance - please!

We've go a way to go so let's take the PMA route.

Leave the bad old days behind and go for a brighter future.
