St Agnes on the Isles of Scilly, sun sand & surf. I do more sea fishing in my 2 weeks there each year than the rest of the year, oh and the sun always shines :D

If you could emigrate somewhere in the world for a better fishing experience where would you go?

Or is the UK the best?

Perth, Western Australia, we average 8 hours sunshine per day during the course of the year. We don't get frosts, only a few days per year with it over 40c. We grow our own oranges, grapefruit, lemons, plums, passion fruit and a host of other fruits and we have some of the best fishing in the world within a day's drive.

What sort of fishing? Much of my family live around Armidale or Sydney and from what I can see the fishing is poor (not enough water!). Unless you're talking about sea fishing of course....

MC

Yes, mate, not much sweetwater fishing in WA, except for a few trout and redfin and carp in the south west. There is, however, brilliant barramundi fishing in the Kimberley Region, especially so in the Ord and Fitzroy rivers. Actually, I have caught 25 species of fish in the Ord River. And, NO licence necessary

Around Sydney there are several types of freshwater fish to try for, from bass to yellowbelly, including the welcome redfin perch and the reviled carp. Further afield (South East Australia) one can fish for anything from blackfish to trout and tench, murray cod to yellowbelly to silver perch.

And, far better weather than anywhere in the UK.

Yet further afield, the mighty barramundi can be caught in many rivers and impoundments, along with saratoga and catfish, sooty grunter and spangled perch.
