hmmm can we have a poll on that

hmm the first lot of answers are biased

if i answer AN is over moderated that could mean i like to argue but get a an email from our beloved leader to refrain from being so naughty ;)

If i answer AN is under moderated that could mean hey why is that poster getting away with this because it disagrees with my post

If i answer AN is over moderated that could mean hey why is that poster getting away with this because it disagrees with my post and i argue i get a email

If i answer AN is under moderated that could mean hey why is that poster getting away with this because it disagrees with my post and i argue i get a email not realising the other poster got one so is careful not to re-argue the point made somewhere earlier so the first argumentee thinks the second is getting off with what he cannot

hmm this poll thing is difficult

I visit less often than I used to because there has to be a limit as to how many times one answers the same question, such as 'I'm thinking of doing some piking, can I use my redundant carp rod or will my old float rod with the tip bust off do?'

Not a case of AN getting stale, 'tis me! Also I suspect that there is just far to much choice now, and many anglers are just one species types so go elsewhere.

If I could improve one thing on AN then that would be to remove the pages of adverts that pop up within a thread, can't we have them at the end? 'B' nuisance having to scroll past that lot.

Mozilla Firefox with Adblock Plus - I never see any adverts or pop-ups. ^_^

That is a good way of looking at it. If it were all dry Q&As it would become stale. Forums can die off like that. I used to contribute to one that did, it was for those of us who were junior soldiers, there was a fuss made by hard core of conservatives who would come down hard on anything controversial (moderated much harder then here) there are over a dozen of us who are banned for eternity (thats longer than life!) after wild paranoia swept in, we called ourselves the 'legion of the banned', and went on to set up out own site which now has over 300 members, there is no moderation at all, loads of fun, arguments, mick taking, fantastic. The next discussion perhaps should be what makes an angler good, and what makes some of us ''crap'.

Or did you hear about the group of online anglers who fell out about a trout in a COARSE fishin' section

Fly fishin does not automatically mean game fishin' and game fish can be and are often not only only caught on baits and lures but actively fished for using these methods,

"Some people hear their inner voices with such clarity that they live by what they hear, such people go crazy, but they become legends"
