I tried Saturday evening after reading this thread. I couldn't keep the hotdog on the hair and had to resort to worms. Daughter caught an eel on the last cast. Was extremely happy and can't wait to go again.

I'd run the risk of eating all the pepperami :D

Pierce it through the side and secure it with a wide blade of grass though the hair loop. Boilie stops will just pull through the skin.

Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail

*Anthony*:

But pepperami isn't a real sausage, it's a meaty snack.

Whats a real sausage then?

Ground up meat with added this that and the other.

It would seem any pork meat bait works well no matter what the guise.

I have heard of beef baits, mince and steak for chub but have never ever heard of anyone trying poultry baits????????????

I've contacted the European Office of sausage manufacturers and they were horrified that pepperami is being classed as a sausage in UK angling circles.

In response I contacted the makers of pepperami, who told me of a long winded legal battle against the EOSM that is being fought through the european courts and are unwilling to offer further comment.
