Ive just followed that link Dales posted and Im more worried than ever! It seems many have signed it then realised the next day it might have not been such a good idea after all! A BIT LATE NOW BOYS!

 

Just a bit.

 

But even worse, knowing it's not a good idea and still going ahead more to support your mate then any other reason. It's very commendable to support your mates when they are in trouble or difficulty. But to sign this because they posted it up :rolleyes:

 

Ive always maintained that the "real" threat to angling, lies within angling itself. Even though ive signed it(more in support of Rich tbh), I do know that given a choice between a perceived, lovable furry creature and a bunch of blokes who stick hooks in fish for fun, is a no win battle.

 

**** enough of the general public off and they will turn in the masses towards/against us

So this re enactment thing? Do you do more fishing than this sword fighting lark then?

 

yeah not done a proper re-enactment for a few years now.

people drifted away and lost contact etc the two people i used to train with the most left the country...and that kind of put the mockers on it all!

however i still practice a fair bit in the back garden. mostly iaido...thats a form of japanese swordsmanship.

and occasionally ill have someone contact me and ask for some training for stunt work or acting roles etc

I see....so in this case it would be fair to say that indeed the attraction of the Pen(rod) is mightier than the sword?
