Fishing Manual (SPAM )

'Real Anglers' (as you put it); wouldn't be interested in a 'Fishing Manual' as the only thing that it could give is 'How to Fish' articles showing the methods that they already know about. It could only be of any use to begginers; however the begginers can already get all the info they need (and more) from forums like this or from magazines.

So your online fishing manual is a non-starter.

I beg to differ :)

I own this site, yet still sell a downloadable carp fishing book, which is quite popular. In fact, I'm hoping that Anglers' Net will do more of them :)

Elton,

I was'nt talking about a specialist online book I was talking about a 'general fishing' manual which is what I thought the original post from 'Clint_suffolk' was about.

yes I agree that a 'specialist book' would be interesting but I doubt if a 'General Fishing Manual' would appeal to experienced anglers. however it may be of interest to begginers.

I think it's fair to say from the feed back your getting that not many (including me) would be interested in buying your article as such as those that have been fishing for a while would most likey know and/or all ready use the methods you have in your article.

Just a thought - why not sent it or maybe part of it into 'Anglers Net' to be put in the articles section of the site and get some feed back from that to see where you are best going with it.

One thing I think you could do is have a word with a certain pinhead and produce a guide to used, old and antique pins and how to use them. I think that might be a real winner and you can add to it by having a word with another member here who has actually made pins. I would certainly be up for a book like that and I think many others would too.

I'm all for doing more books, but giving them away for free. Currently working on another carp one (not written by me). Time is my biggest enemy, though. I simply don't have enough.

I admit, a 'pin guide would be interesting and probably popular. If there's anyone here who thinks they can genuinely write something that people will enjoy, drop me a line. I can pay a small fee for such work.

I'm also open to other suggestions for similar publications.

Anglers Net is probably one of the bet "on-line" manuals you can get, there's more eperience and knowledge here than you could ever put in a book. And it's updated as quick as the next poster can type!
