Hi all,

First of all i would like to introduce myself as a new member of this forum, & also as a person who started fishing 1 year ago, after a 25year brake, & blimey hasn`t it changed!

I am looking for day ticket places to fish in kent, as i am not a member of any club just yet, & not very experienced

Are there any web sites listing places etc?

I like to fish for anything except pike.

Hi Mel and welcome. I live too far away to help, but I am sure someone closer will. I think you just MAY have upset one or two of the fraternity here with "anything except Pike"statement :D:D:D:D

Welcome to the forums melpen :)

Too far from Kent to help, but if you look on the main AnglersNet page, there is a link to a fisheries database there

Added later - Try contacting these two in (or near) Maidstone. I think the 'phone numbers are right....

Welcome to AN.

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.

Hi Mel. I, like yourself, am a returnee to angling after a lengthy lay-off, and have had a couple of seasons to get back in the swing of it. I found the basics are the same as 'back then', but the range of tackle and gear just blew my mind.

I had forgotten just how peaceful and relaxing a day at the bankside could be, with the occasional adrenaline rush when a fish is hooked and landed. There's nothing to beat it when you want to get out and sample Mother Nature with a purpose in mind. With regards to where to fish, I'm on the 'other side' of the river to you in Essex, although I did have a good day out at Elphicks Fishery in Kent see here.

Tight Lines......Terry
