I did, genuinely, 'LOL' at that one :D

Anderoo - I'd like to say it'll be great to see you at the fish-in again this year, but I dare say you'll be at one with the surroundings from this day forth, yeah?

They look pretty good - cheers John.

Just watched that look great for long range pike or carp..................................but seriously who would honestly want to use a monstrosity like that for normal work let alone Barbel!!!

It's gonna take a lot of line to fill those spools to cast a short distance

I agree for short work my conventional 4000 size daiwa's are spot on but for any distance these reels are spot on.

I bought 3 before xmas and at about £100 new are not expensive for big pit style reels.

I have a couple of full size big pits and these are a lot smaller and lighter although spools are still big and long.

I bought them for my distance reservoir fishing with carp rods and they do feel equally at home on my big feeder rods I am talking 13ft rods that will cast 150grams so not your average tip rod.

I picked mine up for £70 each from a guy who just had to have the latest shimano new longcast baitrunner. It turns out spools are identical.

Do a search for ultegra xtb5500 they are well thought of.
