I'd heard Tony Miles had dropped out but then I hear a lot of things that are only 'fishermans tales'

does it really matter what their names are or that everyone knows who they are ??

i am a member of a couple of syndicates so what ??

what business of anyone elses is it ??

surely it is between them and the owner of the fishing rights ??

if it had been a stretch of river 40 miles downstream would anyone care ??

Only possibly the few hundred members of the existing club, man and boy who had fished the water for many years and now find that they cannot compete with a chosen few.

Many of whom achieved the money to accomplish it of the backs of those same anglers who contributed to their purses by believing in them and their ideals.

 

But that doesn't matter does it?

i dont claim to be an authority on this but from what i'v read about it the farmer aproached them .

if they had "poached" the water then fair enough i could see some justification in having a go at them possibly .

i still dont see what exposing them to public vilification is going to achieve.

I was one of those who used to be able to fish there for for Pike,Chub,Perch with my lures and fine Roach and Barbel if and when i fancied a change to bait fishing.

 

Now it is only the select few who can be awarded the A.T. Drennan Cup ( A.T. this week) for these fine specimens from this 'Holding' stretch of the Great Ouse.
