help with TORRENTS please guys?

Thanks Andy! Found that site and sure enough it was on there and enough to know I don't HAVE to use U torrent!! Which I don't!! And only around a dozen lines while some of the ruddy so called guides run to 10 or more pages!!!

 

So once again THANK YOU and that goes for ALL you who offered me some help!

So enlighten me then. What software are you using to create your .torrent files?

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

i have never understood them but i tried today with the bittorrent dooda ,it seems to be downloading but not as a torrent more a slow drip at 9 to 11 k a sec :blink:

i thought they were faster than normal?

 

20 minutes to download 4.7 mb seems excessively slow its averaging 4ksec

Either enable PnP on your router and in bittorrent OR open up a port on you router forwarded to your pc and tell bittorent to use that port. Don't set your upload speed too high or you will strangle your downloads.

Sort of, but it depends on accepting INCOMING connections to work properly. The firewall in your router will be blocking them.

when you install it i think it asks if it can parley with your router ,i think i agreed?

everything else is untouched ,takes 10 minutes just to start downloading

OK. So make sure that PnP is enabled on the router.
