I didn't put that in!

Last summer I had to relocate my pond, to enable me to build an extension. When I emptied the old pond (which had been there for seven years) which I had stocked from a pond at my previous house, I discovered a single, solitary roach fry. It was tiny, no more than 20mm long. I definitely did not introduce it to my pond. The nearest water to my house that holds roach is approximately six miles away (although the Irish Sea is only about 300 metres away, not many roach in there though). Anyone got any idea how it may have got there, or anyone with similar experience. Trivial I know, but that's the state of my mind, or so the wife keeps telling me.

It probably got there on the foot of a bird....before it was even born :)
