you pays your money and takes your choice :( as it says "up to 400ltrs an hour" its pretty pathetic even at optimum but if its the only option then go for it :)

if you used a 12v bilge pump you would get a VERY impressive fountain with plenty of water left over for a filter :)

It looks like its my only option   :(  . Unless anyone can think of another way of powering a pump without cables leading to the house.   :confused:  

You could keep a battery charged up with a solar panel and have the pump controlled by a timer. That way you could have a bigger display to look at for a shorter period. The panel you quote seems the be capable of a half Amp output. There might be something better available. The prices are coming down all the time. I know some people who live in a horse-drawn bow-top caravan. They use a solar panel to run a small TV.
