Pond liner help ?

Excalibur

Recommended Posts

A customer wants to put a second liner in his (skilfully extended) pond.He has lots of liner, but no bits big enough. How can we join it, as I wish to do this tomorrow? I have some duck/duct? tape, but would this withstand prolonged immersion in water?

no it needs to be welded , we had a tear in my bosses one and the "repair chap" used glue to patch it ,it leaked after 2 months :( another bloke used a "heat" gun to weld a patch it never leaked afterwards :) i missed the actual "operation" so cannot say how it was done but according to the boss it was "welded" :D

A liner within a Liner does not work, you will get water beetween them, duck tape will be no good either as it is not a water sealant, a niegbour of mine has extended his pond and he got a kit to join liner together, it was not cheap from what i recall but it did the job, he has had no problems with it (I think he also heated it)

Have a look here for some pond repair products.
