What bird is this

it looks similar to a cormorant, i looked through 30 pages of google images trying to find one of a cormorant like it.

its the same size as a cormorant, it behaves like a cormorant, dives, swims, and stays under water as long as a cormorant but the only difference i can see is it has 2 little tufts of feathers on top of its head (like devil ears) and the color of its face is different and its body is much lighter, almost grey.

here is the best pic i could take as it was too far away (it was as paranoid as a cormorant)

i think it might be a cormorant but being unable to find another pic of one like this after 30 pages im not so sure. :D

it was more its behaviour that got me thinking it was something similar :P
Don't worry about it mate. There are some people who can't tell a stray tomcat from a "panther".

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

We now have Red-breasted mergansers and Goosanders on the Severn in addition to the Cormorants and Grebes.

Pretty birds but when there are more than a dozen of them, it makes you wonder what impact they're having.

Never seen a diver though.
