For what it is worth, if they are medicinal leeches (Hirudo medicinalis) then they are a Globally Threatened Species and a Biodiversity Action Plan priority species.

 

How can you identify them? These ones were globally removed by a high pressure hose.

Elton, I have problems with leeches too.
