Fishing Tackle Thief

VALUABLE fishing equipment was stolen by a thief casting the net around Port of Menteith recently, according to police.

 

Aberfoyle-based Central Scotland Police community officer Liam Ward said two angling equipment bags were swiped from the car park at the Port of Menteith Fisheries, at about 5pm on Wednesday, March 28.

 

The officer explained each bag contained a substantial amount of fishing equipment, including reels, spools and flies, and the total value of the goods stolen went “well into four figures”.
