Colin finished with 13 tench to 9-04 plus of course that 18-02 bream over about 40 hours.

Glyn/Kim's final tally sharing 3 rods between then just in the daytime for 2 days managed 14 tench to 9-14 including two 7lb+ males.

So each fished for less than the time the Fish-In runs.

The wind's turning SW from Tuesday. But I've only a tiny chance of being able to fish as the weather has meant we're way behind with the work! :(

I'll be sending PayPal invoices to those who asked for them. Otherwise please send a cheque for bait and BBQ orders to the address on the e-mail you'll have received. I'd appreciate payment asap as we're really under the cosh this year and don't want to have to waste time chasing anyone. Cheers.

I'm just about to start a new topic asking what anyone needs to borrow. If you can help please post there rather than here. In particular please note that the maximum test curve of rod allowed on the Coarse Lake will be 2 1/4lbs.

Here's the place though to ask about any other questions like tactics, or for the regulars to leave advice.

Also attending but not fishing will be Tony and Sue Urwin who are coming to the BBQ on the Sunday. Plus Wingham member Paul Westcott (tincatinca) will be there the whole time to give advice.

Thanks Steve. Me and Gaz cant wait to get down there. What are the accomodation options should we want to head down on friday evening? Last year we set off at 2am on saturday to arrive there in time to start fishing but after 2 hours sleep and a 7 hour drive we ended up sleeping a lot and didnt get much chance to socialise. This time round we want to get there on friday night and get some good sleep so that we can make the most of our time there and not be grumpy as hell lol.

Rik, you can kip in the clubhouse. There's a sofa bed plus 3 other sofas. Otherwise just set your bedchairs up. If this doesn't appeal, being a tourist area, there are plenty of B&Bs locally.

Ah that would be great. I seem to remember there was mention of the clubhouse last time. We thought we would be able to manage with driving down but it really took its toll on us and dampened our time there a little. I will mention it to gary and see what he wants to do as he doesnt get a lot of time to get on here and post.

Wingham member Steve Campbell (Wyenot) has kindly agreed to be on hand again dishing out free bacon sarnies for an early breakfast on the Saturday. This is despite him having family commitments shortly after. Thanks Steve!
