As are you!

Our opinions may differ but it doesn't mean we have to fall out, and to be honest I hope you prove me wrong, I doubt you will, but I don't mind if you do!

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

I see that as a challenge mate ;)

of course there will be limited appeal for fishing programmes as there will for any hobby based TV (except perhaps gardening) but the new technologies are meant to mean that you shouldn' t need big audiences to justify making niche programmes. At least that is what i was led to believe. Its a shame Discovery are not commissioning fishing programmes any more I can't belive that they think there is a bigger audience for programmes about americans putting tatoos on each each other.

take a look at my blog

I've signed up as i'm 'hooked' on fishing programmes (when I can see them as I don't have sky). I watch clip after clip on youtube, so maybe I shouldn't have signed up, I can see it could be hard to drag myself away from the pc.

There's already plenty of fishing on line and the search by duration tool on /google video lets you sort the programs from the shorts.

Here's an example of what comes up for the carpies:

Click on one of those links, then in the search panel at the top delete Carp and type in the species of your choice and click search and you have Video of the fish you want

The following site got a mention in Boat Fishing Monthly this month:

http://www.fishingfilmsandfacts.co.uk/

It looks quite good, but I can't view any of the videos as it requires me to download yet more Microsoft software, which is a shame :(

Elton, why don't you download the software it only takes a few seconds and the site is really worth viewing the Videos, their quality is very good, not only picture quality but the content and production is very good

I don't know anything about TV but I do know about teh interwebs - and I expect this will do rather well. The internet has come of age and is now primarily about entertainment and interaction, and people are now willing (and in some cases expecting) to pay. I also don't have Sky/Cable/etc. and spend a fair bit of time watching fishing clips/shows on the web. And there's a whole generation below me who have grown up with the web and really do expect these kind of services.

As with any web service, content is king - assuming these shows are good quality (content and production) I think this is really positive, and hope it does well. The other part of the site to get bang on is the signing up and paying part - if that's annoying, complicated or in any way frustrating, people will give up halfway through.

Good luck though, to all involved.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music
