Congratulations GB :clap2::clap2: The Games a 100% success for all concerned. The closing ceremony was superb. I was almost in tears when Lennons face appeared (what a tragic waste of a life) what a touch of genius, and as for Eric Idle...what can I say. And what about the Spice Girls :D

 

Anyone who "missed" it due to other commitments, my condolences. To those who need to make the point that they "didn't watch" don't bother, start your own sad topic. I have found the whole event totally uplifting and made me even prouder to be British.

Looks like they did a grand job and managed to avoid any Macca moments.

Well said Den :thumbs:

 

We put on a great show from the start of the Olympics all the way through to the closing ceremony. I think my favourite parts of last night was The Kaiser Chiefs and The Who but agree with Den the Lennon section was very touching.

 

I have enjoyed the whole thing including the few events I managed to attend and think I have watched more TV in the last couple of weeks then I would normaly do in a year. I am now looking forward to the Paralympics and am sure we will do them justice and put on the best Paralympics the world has ever seen. For those of us in London there is certainly a buzz around and people do seem genuinely upbeat and happy, London Rocks :punk:

 

I think the whole country should be proud of the whole Olympic spectacle, it was awsome.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I was an Olympic-cynic before The Games, but am a total convert. It was superb; well organised, well presented, well competed and well.....well, just excellent!

 

 

I'll go along with that too, a bit of a cynic before, and even early on when 'we' got the Korean flags mixed up and played the not quite right Dutch anthem, however I watched and enjoyed more than I thought I would, more so than any previous games.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

It was Massive, Monster, Awesome....my post from yesturday....

 

 

I have the Mens Marathon on now, London land marks as a back drop and the massive

surporting crowds.

 

It looks spectacular.

 

The facilities and the production, BBC's seamless coverage all outstanding.
