Going Monday to Lake Moultrie to see about catching some big catfish. Great place but about a 3 hour drive and we need to get on the water at first light. Deep water lake that is about 10 miles across.

Steve - I'm not positive but I expect this to be a long-term stay.

 

Captain - about the only place you can count on a bullet killing one of those beasties is a little spot about the size of a medium coin at the base of the skull. Otherwise a small caliber round will bounce off and a large one will scatter bone fragments like a hand grenade does and probably only stun the thing for a few minutes. A hit in the "kill spot" with a .22 or .22 magnum gives an instant result.
