I think that one only has to look at years of comments by anglers on the "black death/plague" to get the real view on what the "average" angler thinks of cormorants!

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

I read the original article and the followup article in this thread. I can't see on the surface either one is that far off center. Maybe there is an inference by author reputation?

Edit: Off topic - - - I am getting up to my ears in resident flocks of Canada Geese. What a pain in the arce. They don't eat fish, they feed fish but who wants to fish in knee deep goose chit.

i wouldn't trust the RSPB to pick their own nose never mind have any greater powers

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

Can you think of a reason why anyone would be?
