Somehow I've managed to get this on my main PC and so far have failed to get rid of it.

Running Firefox, so have followed the guides to uninstall but there's nowt to uninstall?

I've also run Malwarebytes and SAS with no luck.

Any ideas greatfully received.

Kirisute where are you?

im here! :D

best bet is that its not actually infecting firefox but is part of an explorer plug in: so try this:

goto control panel

open internet options

choose advanced

click restore advanced settings

click reset

in reset option windows tick all the boxes and click ok.

this will disable any browser add-ons as well as removing any BHO files and also resetting all your security settings and history etc

once that's done; download this:

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/20359976/Roguefix_3.008.bat

when its downloaded; right click it and choose "run as administrator"

follow on screen prompts to perform clean up.

choose no to reset desktop and yes or no to reset homepage (you've already reset it with the instructions above anyway so it wont make any difference)

the pc will restart

test

if its all good

set your homepage back to what you fancy and then just give CCleaner a run to tidy up the registry again.

on top of that try this:

the infection is actually usually bundled under another name in add/remove software: if you have any of these then simply uninstall them first:

1ClickDown

1ClickDownloader

FB Photo Zoom

GoPhoto.it

HDvid Codec

IB Updater

Incredibar Toolbar

OneClickDownload

OneClickDownloader

Online HD TV

PutLockerDownload

StartNow

TornTV

Yontoo

heres a bit of reading about it that might also help:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-remo...-coupondropdown

but the above methodology will almost certainly sort it out anyway. if not then post again :)

OK done all that and it was still active, did it again and again still there.

Tried IE settings and nothing there. however when I the went to the Firefox settings yet again I found an HD TV program.

Un-installed that followed your instructions again and Happy Days it's now gone.

Once again it's BIG THANK YOU
