Fish feeling pain ?.......well, the jury`s out on that one.

They do feel stress and fear though, and in most livebaiting scenarios that leads to exhaustion, then death. So that`s alright then.

Hi All,

On a more serious note, apart from whether fish feel pain, or whether or not it is cruel.

What are the actual rules on using livebait for pike nowadays?.

Is it still universaly excepted, or has it been banned in a lot of places, or by some clubs?.

I have not actualy fished for pike for a few years now, but quite often used to use a livebait when I used to, as I think that it has a more instant success in rivers.

I have been thinking about setting up a pike rod lately when it is too cold for barbel.

nathan what on earth is the point of this post? if you dont like livebaiting dont do it end of story. debating livebaiting with a post heading of cruel is stupid in the extreme and any anti would just love to find this.
