smilies slowing the typing down

Anyone getting typing lag when posting in a topic and having the smilies open, is it just me or does it need looking at. damn its dooin it as i type

Turn off the rich text editor (use the button above the B for bold, top left of the editor).

That just appears to close the access to the smilies /bold type etc completely. Yes typing is quick without the lag, is there a fix in mind , I dont remember it happening on old version site

You can type the smilies in manually in that mode

[Newt]

When you want a smiley, click on the smiley icon at the top of the bar between My Media and A (the thing to change type colour). When you've put in your smiley, click the same icon and they should go away. Repeat as needed.
