this is what happens when the wrong message is sent out. The guys in that area are mostly hand line and have little quota, so much so that even the big boys have suggested to them previously to hand some back because they do not reach their tac.

point being is the mcs when dealing with the publics perception re the mackeral stock. Although the mcs point out within the link that their advice was explicit in stating that the fish need to be sorced sustainably. That advice was buried within a lenghty manuscript and was NOT made clear, they cocked up, they are very good at clouding issues.
