Fishing the Lake District

Recommended Posts

I'm going on holiday at the back end of July. I want to do a bit of fishing on Windermere. Now I know there's loads of pike. But that's not my cup of tea. I've read several conflicting reports to what is in the lake. Does anybody have any recent news onto what is in the lake and what the best tactics to use should be. This is recreational fishing so i don't want to spend hours baiting up. And what would be best feeder or float. Thanks for any input.

Try Grasmere, just up the road from Windermere. It's smaller and less daunting. Good head of roach and some decent perch, feeder fishing can be good.

Bank fishing on Windermere is as scary as scary gets . When you see the Cormorants you,ll know what i mean . Before you take on the Lake you gotta beat the Black Death . Emma,s advice is good .

The more i practice the luckier i get :)
