boy does that bloke suffer from bad luck, :cry: and being a wild life photographer at the same time he was able to record his bad luck. My pond it totally unprotected the fish have been in there for more than 25 years plus, never had an otter visit. Had herons, cormorants sit on the fences, strolling around the pond looking at the lunch, yet never bothering to take a few, they would be welcome btw as the kin goldfish play mothers and fathers every year, feeding the carp now and then.

 

All that work, time and effort, money puttting up fences, all he needs is a multi tasking dog, end of.

 

surrounded by foxes yet the chickens in our back yard are safe as well. amazing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

I thought it was a well presented one sided view - using artistic license. At least his fish look like the work of otters, the head is missing. Of course, he has every right to express his "opinion"

Nothing like scientific fact Phone...his opinion, but as a wildlife "professional" could have phrased it much better...but it just wouldn't carry the 'weight' that he's trying to put across. According to some 'anglers' there are tens of thousands of otters in the UK from 117 introduced plus a few orphaned individuals...but no food to support them!

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!
