I can't remember on live mail but I'm sure in one of those tabs there is a "Test Settings" button that should give an actual error that hopefully tells you what the problem is receiving email if there is any.

Just called Sky, its a change over carry on from GMAIL to YAHOO, according to the nice young chic i spoke with said it SHOULD, be ok tomorrow.
