Just a comment chaps and chapesses, Mrs T is a real 'Marmite' subject. I notice strong views on BOTH sides of the arguement. We are ALL entitled to our opinion HOWEVER lets keep it civil. I could see this thread developing into a real slanging match. Let's keep it calm folks

Just one big fish, PLEASE!!!!!!

..............there will be many such threads all over the internet - she was imo a loathsome woman who caused irreparable and irreversible harm and change to the character of this once great country.

but that's just my opinion...........I believe it's still civil - unless anyone can't read something they disagree with without becoming upset.

R.I.H. Maggie.

we got submarines, some are quick to forget at their cost.

Yes Barry but we could not really mount another Falklands Campaign

We are a bit stuffed for STUFT now. Maggie forgot all about the MN once they had done her bidding in the Falklands.

The comparison between her an Churchill makes me laugh. She wasn't fit to lick Churchill's bell en boots.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Britain imo has never been as weak as it is now.

The RN is a shadow of its former self. The RAF is in similar peril and the Army is criminally overstretched.

The people in the UK have never been more divided and we have the prospect of misery and destitution for many for decades to come.

IT ALL STARTED WHEN MAGGIE TOOK OVER.

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

Mrs T is a real 'Marmite' subject.

Rubbish, I do now and always have liked marmite...

and, seeing as they make it from brewer's yeast can you imagine the uproar if she'd tried to destroy that industry!!!!

Much as I loath Maggie, her finest hour was the Falklands War. Her lowest hour was the fight with the unions, in particular the miners, but then again Scargill wanted a fight with the Government and he got it, to the detriment of miners nationwide. Between them, they destroyed the mining industry, split families apart, and in the long run allowed the Government to ride roughshod over workers today.

I don't know where you're going to end up Mags, but when we heard the news this afternoon when I was in the pub, you could have heard the cheering on the other side of town! THAT, is how you will be remembered here in the north.
