Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

BOLD BEAR,

FOR tiger to be effective IMO the sedge grass must occur naturally.

LORDY lordy - my only UK bait banning experience was canned luncheon meat after the removal of about a meter of it from the bottom. Iwas paid by the EA. - Foreign experts were impressive in the early 1970's

It's easy to have to much of a good thing, especially in the relative close  fishing quarters found in the UK

The problems which were caused by the tiger nuts on our estate lake were mainly caused by idiots thinking that they can prebait a small shalllowish 2.5 acre lake in the same way as they did in a much larger and deeper 35 acre lake, and they were regularly introducing buckets full of them all around the islands, similar to the problem on the lake where you found the excessive amounts of luncheon meat rotting on the bottom.

If they had actually used their brains in the first place and used the tigers in smaller amounts a lot more sensibly and prepared them correctly then they would have probably saved us having to ban them from our lake in the first place.

plus we had Carp with swollen stomachs and sore backsides which we suspected was probably caused by some members not preparing them properly.

The Carp recovered soon after the tiger nut ban.

We had also banned all other types of nut a year or two earlier too on our estate lake because of idiots not knowing that you had to prepare them properly before using them otherwise they would expand in the carps stomachs and cause all sorts of problems.

BB,

As carp slowly became a "sport fish" in the US your story rings true over here also. We only have a very few private carp lakes and the 'BAN" list is as long as your arm. If you think BRITS are clueless you should make a trip - - - no, wait - - I SERIOUSLY doubt your heart could take it
