Help peugeot 106 diesel alternator replacing

As anyone ever replaced the alternator on a peugeot 106 diesel xnd?

My brother in law as offered to do this for me and im trying to find out ant tips or problems that may arise.

Looked for a diagram or info on the net but not had any joy.

This is the 3rd problem in a month ive had with it.

First 3 wires needed repairing to injection pump and a new stop selanoid fitting....cost 70 quid at mt local garage to be done.

then 2 days after that the Ignition switch packed in and burnt the starter motor out.

220 quid for a new ignition switch a glow plug and a second hand starter motor plus labour.

Then i noticed the battery light flickering and the battery went dead and now it needs the Alternator replacing.

Not taking it back to the garage for 30 odd quid an hour labour and god knows how much for a recon alternator.

So the bro in law can get one for 70 quid and will fit it for free whilst i format his pc and install everything back on.

he says it shouldent be a hard job but im just finding out as much as i can before hand.

seeing as how it is a peugeot save some money and replace the car.

everyone i know who has owned one has had a lot of trouble,normally expensive.

Don't know if you ever got this done, but judging by the number of hits this thread gets, it's a fairly common problem.
