Hi folks I'm just new to this forum and would like to say if anyone needs any tips on fishing for perch to maybe reply in this thread or pm? I have been fishing for perch for most my years in Scotland especially in ponds I have just recently caught my pb at 3 lb 10 oz

I have a question too.

Does the commercial-style perching (e.g. fishing prawns/lobs/deads in little well stocked ponds) work as well in summer as it does in winter? What's different? I assume the other species are more of a problem, especially carp, but do you catch perch too?

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

Not at all Anderoo. Up here getting them on prawns or deads would be just plain luck, twitched lobs will sort the wee-boys from the daddy perch though.

deads are even harder with me only having 1 on deads ever, even scaled down tackle will not really produce perch on deads or lives. it's just not something you here a lot of up here.

Hmm I'm tempted to try it out tonight and find out!

Cheers Andy and rich. Rich, give it a go and let me know! I'm tempted to try the local commercial style ponds where I've been stalking carp (shhh!).
