Hi Terry.

Yes it was recorded by Jim Reeves, but I think Stonewall was the original artist although the Jim Reeves version was the bigger hit.

I may be wrong I am sure someone out there will know.

Catch you later.

Ken.

...and who could forget this 'classic'...

"I love you love, you love me too love,

I love you love me..." (Gary Glitter). :D

...and shame on the girls of St. Winifred's school choir:

"Grandad, we love you..

Oh yes we do.."

Graham it works in the bible too...

A new commandment I give unto you,

That ye love one another:asI have loved you, that ye also love one another.

John 13

How do I love thee?

Let me count the ways.

Sonnets from the Portugese.

But to see her was to love her,

Love but her,and love for ever.

Robert Burns.

Since I am a Scot I could add that old Rabbie Burns classic;

My love is like a red, red rose!

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.
Vaut mieux ne rien dire et passer pour un con que de parler et prouver que t'en est un!

Actually the Bible turns out to be a worthy source. This lot is just from Genesis.

Genesis 24:67

And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.

Genesis 25:28

And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

Genesis 29:32

And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the LORD hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me.

Genesis 37:3

Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Wow, what a fantastic response. I've been too busy to post anything for a couple of days so I've just had a really good laugh reading through all your contributions.

Graham X, didn't know you had a store of 'on the road' stories.

We used to find, particularly if it was a badly organised tour involving hurtling from one end of the country to the other day after day, that we developed this weird syndrome. We called our wagon The Land Pig, and we called the syndrome 'Land Pig Brain'. We used to set each other impossible essays to write and from quite serious titles we would produce 3 or 4 pages, all hilarious, but not suitable to print here

Help me unhook these, please.
