What angling aspect would you put in room 101?

arbo,

They, those waiting in the bushes are the "among members of a particular group" Trust me, if you are invited to a syndicate water and introduce your self in a cowboy hat and a "howdy boys" you are doomed. You can cast one time, then the critics pounce.

arbo,

More than the "carp" I caught a couple perch back to back "twiching" a nightcrawler - freelined - 6ft medium wt UglyStik, 14 lb line and a 1/0 hook. I unhooked them in the water (about twice as long as my hand) showed it to my host, and pitched then about 4 - six inches out into water that would allow them to swim off upright. None of these items were forbidden in the rules. It was so so so improper conduct and such bad behavioUr it didn't need to be in the rules. Never, in a million years would I intentionally embarrass myself or my host.

Still, the carp guys were worse.

I tend to believe "members of a particular group" don't even agree with each other in England about what is "PROPER" Your sport if angling is pretty rigid and structured. Participants are quite opinionated (among themselves). On one occasion the pecking order began in the car park.

Blokes arriving at the lake together, setting up on opposite sides of the lake, and having a running conversation all day at shouting volume!

"GOT SOMETHING BOB?"

"NAH, LAKE IS DEAD!"

Maybe its just me but I try and be considerate to others. Perhaps I'm too sensitive?!

Those with binos who you know are watching other anglers and not the wildlife. Very common in the carp life. Although not always !

Dave H,

Common practice at competative "paylakes". Always bait your hook with your back to the water. Always put your "go-to" flavoring is a bottle that says "Green Apple".

Why not Camo? ask any specialist and they will tell you that fish can only see black and white. They only spook with unusual movement on the bank.

The fishing line manufacturers tried very hard to sell RED line, saying it was invisible to fish- ?????? So all the fish I caught on RED maggot were a fluke?

Supposing in the syndicate you have two gays from the same town with the gay colours striped on their tent or a family bright blue tent that sleeps 8?

Would the fish be any worse to catch?

If you're curious, it sounds like they have the space for one more, they could probably squeeze you in :)

Something to do if the fishing's slow I guess.

I don't think the fish would be any worse to catch unless the gays had absolutely hammered them beforehand?

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

Sorry, I still don't know to what you are getting at. I understand the words, but not the predication nor the statement itself and I don't believe that you do either. I was referring to etiquette, not politics or opinions, merely the ability to determine what would upset others and avoiding doing it.
