would be the best all round Angler

From Carp specialist to dry fly expert ?

They do what they do, they catch a few fish, they have their privileged access to "special" waters and they have their sponsorship deals.

Me, I just enjoy catching fish...

Cant really agree with that , To fish in Large rivers for wild fish Is not easy

Try targeting salmon on the Tweed & you could be there for days Trying to catch .

or Taking a 20 - 30 lb pike reguarly , It would not be easy

But you have your opinion & i respect your view 100 %

Our 'hero' anglers are mostly one species - "largemouth bass". They are legitimate. Probably Roland Martin or/and Kevin VanDam.

Certainly some of our "celebrities" make a great deal of noise whenever they catch a fish.

Ha I have no idea. I just remember way back in the day when I was a kid my Grandfather got Sky TV whilst we still had the old normal tele. Used to go over to his and watch Rex Hunt fishing adventures for hours on end. My grandfather had no interest in fishing but used to put up with it, and ended up being able to pull off a pretty good impression of old Rex.

Not sure I'd watch it these days... I'm not much of a fish kisser.
