So lutra maybe is chance to get any advise about barbel fishing in North Yorkshire ? People days that you even maybe a barbel hehe do you often fishing on swale or Ouse ? Cheers

No I only go that side of the hills to rustle sheep and steal the women.

 

I'm a one river wonder when it comes to barbel.

Oh lutra don't be like that ;) you must know something ;)

Greg the fun is in doing your own work. If you know a river has barbel, look for smooth glides with a bit of flow in summer. Take your ledger gear, a head torch, a tin of luncheon meat, hemp, pellets,...... and I don't think you will go far wrong.

Nice read Keith.

 

You may need a little more weight on a wider deeper river and and wider deeper rivers may be harder to read if you don't know them, but I didn't see much reason to have "small stream" in the title. :thumbs:
