I understand that Octoplus have added to their catalogue recently! Wreath holders are proving extremely popular amongst older members. The T.V. aerial arm is also a big seller. Moves are afoot to introduce a 'carp' range. Namely the red plastic will be replaced by olive drab and an exciting range of pretty floral leaf patterned luggage will also be available.

I use an Octoplus main frame and would suggest to anyone who is going to fit one to their box to take the box to the tackle shop.

Then I would suggest getting the biggest frame possible that fits and the longest legs.

Some spare longer legs is a good idea.

When I put my kit on my box I did not get a spacer kit and only got short legs.

This has caused me problems on steep banks or when putting accesories on the legs as they are to close to the box.

I must admit to hating all that red plastic on the Octoplus gear! Think Ive seen green as well(?) didnt like it!If it was black plastic I might be tempted to try it! Yes Im well and truely out of the closet now!A self confessed tackle tart!

More practical,DG you mentioned you had a stout mate (In prefer stout to fat) who had taken part in testing of this gear.Out of interest how "stout" was he? Serious not trying to wind anyone up.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

Bugdie, Octoplus have never ever made it green nor in black plastic trays. What you probable saw was either Shakespeare or Daiwa Seatboxes Trays which are made in Green, Black and Blue.

Growing old is inevitable but growing up is optional
