20lb bream

Big for the species, sure, but I can't find anything in me that will see a picture of bream - no matter what the size - and find it an attractive fish. Same goes for wels and obese carp, though (usually) smaller, fitter carp can look quite spectacular.

Bream are a long way from being a favourite fish of mine, but credit where credit's due.

Good observation to locate the fish and good effort put into catching it.

I think one could fairly describe it as well-deserved.

Well done mate.

I have to disagree, there is something quite magnificent about a huge bream. I never would have thought it would he the case but they are so impressive when so big.

It's an interesting thing, I always find large carp looker smaller than I'd expect but very large perch, chub and bream just look huge!

All,

Glad I'm not in the UK. That fish looks more like a carp hybrid to me than a bream.

I never snivel my nose at any fish. For sure not a 20er of any species.

Phenomenal fish, plus another of 15lb+! Sounds like it was well deserved, especially having to deal with the logistics of fishing at 300 yards.

I love fishing for bream, not a popular choice but I do really enjoy it. Seeing this fish has really wanted me to shake this man flu, get out of my bed and get to the lake! Incredible catch. I agree with those that have said that a big bream looks magnificent, they do in my eyes. Beauty.

Started coarse fishing February last year, species so far:

Roach, Rudd, Bream, Tench, Perch, Carp, Gudgeon, Eel, Crucian and a Goldfish.
