I find it strange ethanol is thought to be the saviour but is the vast amounts of co2 produce fermenting the brew and the co2 produced distilling the final brew less than the the amount of co2 produced by petrol with its manufacturing? I can see the final use is beneficial ofcourse

 

Is co2 responsible for warming ? I think my other side of the coin chap said co2 peaking follows warming ,perhaps it discounts mans co2 as there is not enough data ?

 

 

Plants use photosynthesis to take carbon out of the atmosphere and make sugar.

 

Fermentation involves releasing that same CO2 back into the atmosphere from where it came (the amount of CO2 in the carbon cycle stays the same, same as with burning wood).

 

 

 

Producing petrol involves mining 'fossil' carbon (oil) from where it is locked up deep underground.

 

When it is burned the CO2 is released, adding to the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere (same as with coal and gas).

Yes but using oil is putting back co2 into the atmosphere where it was.

 

I see your point about sugars though

 

The difference is in how fast its released back into the atmosphere thats the problem although oil is condensed trees etc as is coal.

 

Burn it and be dammed i say ,a 5 degree rise will be no harm here in surrey ,man is already existing from 30 degrees below zero to 40 above it will just inconvenience the chaps in the hot places ,the chaps in the cold places may welcome it once the floods subside

 

Trees also take carbon to make trees ,old fully grown trees are of no use they cannot lock up any more ,fell them use them for funriture and let news ones grow ,oh we already do ,splendid i love mahogany

some one mentioned on the radio today that the earth is getting warmer as it's minutely getting closer to the sun which is getting hotter and in many years to come the sun will devoid the earth of life, has the warmists factored that one in or is it baloney.

Oh I know chezz's type only too well. You find them a lot on assorted forums, fishing ones too unfortunately. But if they were that intolerable I suppose I would just stay away, which actually a lot of people tend to do - I recently saw a post elsewhere from someone who gave up on this one. Mostly they're boring. Actually Ian Drury wrote a song about them.
